The Alice Newman Historical Room began in 1983 with materials collected by the East Granby Public Library and the East Granby Historical Committee, a committee that was appointed in 1971 to research the history of the town. If you would like to schedule a appointment call the library at (860)653-3002 or email: history@egpl.org

We want to thank East Granby Greater Together Community Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving for providing a grant to set up the site and scan our first documents, The Newgate Script.
